A programme where we meet some of the most praised saints in the lauda tradition, for example saint Francis, Catherine of Alexandria, saint Dominic and of course the Virgin Mary.

According to tradition, saint Francis himself wrote the very first lauda. The melody has not survived, but the text has become famous as "the song of the Sun". In this programme CDL performs some of the many laude written in the honour of saint Francis.

This programme was originally created for concerts in the jubilee year of the Holy Bridget, 2003, and contains laude with a connection to the Holy Bridget and her spirituality.

A concert with laude concerning the birth of Christ, a subject especially appropriate at Christmas time but really suitable at any time of the year.

The Passion and the suffering of Christ is a recurrent theme in many laude. This concert contains laude concerning the Passion, the crucifixion and the resurrection and fits in with the celebrations of Lent and Easter.
